Light waterproof jacket – wind and sea spray can feel cool, especially in the morning or evening
 
 
Waterproof bag to protect personal items such as your phone and wallet
 
 
Towel – useful for hands or if splashed with water

Polarised sunglasses to help see the water surface better
 
 
High-SPF sunscreen, as the sun in Tenerife is strong even in winter
